Steve holds a diploma of Computer Science from Algonquin College in Ottawa.

He spent over 11 years as an applications developer in the telecommunications industry and currently works as a team lead in a web development group with Cognos, an Ottawa-based software development company, where he has been for the past 5 years. Steve is also the elected president of the Ottawa Carleton Ultimate Association (www.ocua.ca) an organization with over 5,000 members. Additionally, he worked six summers at the Larrimac Golf Club.

Steve's attachment to the Chelsea community runs deep. For the past many years, he has regularly attended council meetings feeling it important to fully understand and appreciate the day-to-day issues, activities and needs of the growing community in which he spends most of his time.

Steve and his wife Sylvia, also born in Montreal, had their first child in May 2004 and have started building a new home in Larrimac fulfilling a life-long dream of raising a family in the area they love.

In his spare time Steve snowshoes, cross country skis and bikes in the Chelsea area, and sails and paddles on the Gatineau River. He's an avid curler and plays Ultimate (frisbee) in the summer, competing at the national and international levels.
